Membership & Fees

Trowbridge Amateur Swimming Club is a club that caters for everybody from the youngest to the more mature swimmer. We have a squad structure in place with 9 different squads starting from our Learn-to-Swim programme and moving through pre development, development and performance squads. We also have squads which are for master swimmers and for those swimmers who swim for recreation and fitness rather than competitive swimming.

All squads have a fixed monthly fee and fixed weekly training sessions ranging from 1 per week to 6 per week in our top performance squad. We utilise four pools within the area, Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon, Dauntsey’s School and Bath University 50m pool.

We ask all swimmers to attend a trial. This enables them to see for themselves what the training sessions are like and also allows our coaches to assess them and advise which of our squads would best suit their ability. Our Learn-to-Swim programme is open to all children aged four and above, these session are very popular and we do have a small waiting list.

Membership & Training Fees

Our membership year runs from 1st January – 31st December. Payment of membership fees is collected by Direct Debit between the 1st and 10th January, if payment is not received by the 1st February, a swimmer will no longer be entitled to train with TASC.

Families with 4+ members within TASC can spread membership payments over a few months if necessary. The maximum membership requested will be £170.00 per family. Please contact the Membership Secretary if you wish to discuss a payment plan for your membership payments. This fee is used by the club to pay for a swimmers Swim England/Wiltshire ASA membership, insurance and help fund the club so volunteers can be educated. This fee also enables us to put on free events throughout the year.

Our current annual membership fees are:
£56.00 per swimmer in all squads, the exception to this is Alligators, with a membership fee of £45.30

TRAINING FEES

Training fees are paid monthly in advance and collected by Direct Debit on or just after the 1st of each month. The training fees take into account pool closures throughout the year; we sometimes have session cancellations due to pool operator closures, open meets coinciding with sessions, unavailability of volunteer coaches and planned pool closures to give our coaches a break. We do not refund fees for cancellations. When we set our annual budget, we make an allowance for pool closures, both known and unknown, and factor this in when calculating squad fees. Fees are then equally spread over 12 months so monthly payments are the same. The current training fees for each squad are shown below.

Any swimmers training with TeamBath AS are still expected to pay the TASC annual membership fee in full, but would not be expected to pay TeamBath AS a membership fee.
